Anna Howard ACS studied Cinematography at North Sydney TAFE.  In 1980, after completing her studies she started working as a camera assistant.

In 1995 Anna began working as a Cinematographer.  Her passion for story telling , and her beautiful and sublte use of lighting and camera work has enabled her to work on both fictional drama and documentaries in Australia and overseas, winning numerous awards for her lighting and images.

Many have been selected for prestigious Film Festivals around the world. From the short film The Guests , in competition at Cannes and more recently Girls Cant Surf at Tribeca in 2021.

Anna Howard ACS is a respected cinematographer and a campaigner for equal opportunities.

She is currently a senior member of the ACS Diversity Committee. She frequently sits on the ACS judging, and Accreditation panels.

Anna was awarded ACS Accreditation in 2004 and Inducted into the ACS Hall of Fame in 2019
